You're not a trained chef. You have not owned a business before. You are not as young as you once was.
Those are some of the reasons why I shouldn't be a food trucker.
People. Service. Faith.
Those are the reasons I am here today.
I was once a shy, young person, but I always valued personal relationships. Being a restaurant server for many years helped eliminate the shyness that once held me back. I have always been driven to help others. Knowing that I was able to help someone has always given me a sense of worth - a sense of purpose. With a renewed relationship with God, I took the leap of faith knowing that He would give me the why.
There are so many good people who have shaped me into a more rounded person. Two, in particular, have sparked my interest in and love for food. First, as a young boy who idolized his sister, I was her "shadow" and wanted to do everything she did. She is a really good cook, and from a young age, she taught me how. I love my sis, Tina, for my love of cooking.
Later in life, @chefcarlosrva, showed me passion for food. He doesn't know his effect on me as to food. Watching him in the kitchen, on the line, made it look pretty cool to be an artist with food as your medium.
We all have talents, passions, and dreams. For me, this truck is all of mine...
